Location: Florida, USA

The Caloosa Lake Carbon Forest is located near Caloosa Lake in central Florida and encompasses approximately 2,200 acres to date.

It is currently our largest contiguous privately owned land reforestation project.

It currently has natural growth stands of long leaf pines, bald cypress, live oaks, turkey oaks, water oaks and bay trees.

It is in habited by American bald eagles, sandhill cranes, wood storks, scrub jays, Eastern blue birds, gopher tortoise, white tail deer, coyotes, bobcats, American alligator, otter, wild Osceola turkeys, black indigo snakes, Eastern diamondback rattlesnakes and Florida panther to mention only a few species.

One of its interesting features is the rookery of Wood Storks, a bird species currently in risk in the State of Florida.

Reforestation is currently underway with native trees currently growing on the land.
